St. James the Great
Church of England

Information

Service sheets and readings for forthcoming Sunday. These will be posted as soon as they become available and are given for those who wish to follow the services at home live on Facebook, or a little later on this website.

In the current pandemic situation, many of our activities are suspended or radically changed. This will be particularly difficult for many as we approach the end of the year when usually celebrate and remember some key moments in our church and community life. Christmas services will be very different this year as will many others - Remembrance, Harvest, All Souls, Advent and Christmas.

These events will not be cancelled, but will be held in ways that still allow us to mark the occasions whilst observing Government and Church of England guidelines, and keeping safe for all concerned. Please see some outline plans below.

All Souls on 1st November - we will read out names as we always do. Please send to the Vicar requests for names to be included and please bear in mind that the service will be live streamed on our Facebook page.

Events up to and including Christmas will be notified here and in the Vicar’s letters which she intends to issue fortnightly. One thing that is already under way is the creation of knitted or crocheted angels. Please click the picture above to find out why, and how you can join in.
